What did you choose in the final Human Revolution, does not play any role: the launch point is one, it will combine the elements of all endings a little and will find the world in an even more disastrous state than before.
People with augmentations (advanced implants) have become an object of mass persecution and even isolation. This is perfectly felt in Prague, where Jensen arrives by order of the authorities. There are whole ghetto areas where modified people drive-developers immodestly introduce the term “mechanical apartheid”. All around guards, inspections, constant control and regular terrorist attacks. Inspections because the augmentated terrorists explode everything in a row. Explodes because inspections around. Everything is as always, in general.
Several organizations fight in the political arena. ARC (Augmented Rights Coalition) is trying to confront the government and people, struggling for the infringed rights of modified people. It is still represented by two leaders: legally at the head there is a handle Talos, in every possible way condemns terrorist activity and walking along a peaceful path. On the other deck of the drowning ship is Viktor Marchenko, a person is much more radical, stunningly smart and seemingly responsible for some of the victims among civilians. He flashed in the announcing trailer as an antagonist, pumped and almost completely mechanized.
Jensen, as already mentioned, works for Interpol, in a special Task Force 29 unit, created for hunting for modified terrorists. But in fact, the hero pursues other goals: he himself is interested in the secret global government, Illuminati, and the politicians of Interpol does not trust. Therefore, part of the useful information is sent directly to the Juggernaut Collective, a hackers detachment. This, by the way, is a direct reference to the very first Deus Ex, whose events are inexorably approaching and will begin after 23 game years.
It is unlikely that the same amounts will be at the levels, but in technical terms, the authors clearly have something to boast.
You can’t learn new Jensen with new tricks?
Despite all its revolutionary motives, in terms of game mechanics Deus Ex It is very conservative: this is again the same game, but on all fronts ennobled, improved and supplemented. Any problem can be solved in several ways, any level can be passed by several routes, and any decision will be responded to several consequences.
The first thing the authors promised to seriously finalize is combat mechanics. The past of the image of thinking was still stealth explosion, and therefore the possibilities for aggressive passage were not always thought out until the end. Now the shooting mechanics is given much more attention. At the demonstrated levels, this is noticeable: shelters are placed around, opponents are always ready to attack the rear, and Adam had new tricks.
First of all, the hero can activate augmentation called Titan Shield, making it almost invulnerable until the batteries sit down. You can shoot a healthy blade from the hand that nails the enemy to the wall or, stuck into the surface, explodes and kills several poor fellows around. In addition, Jensen had a tesla-gun built into the hand, capable of neutralizing up to four opponents with an electric shock.
Thanks to this, the shootings began to look like a full -fledged shooter without compromises. The dynamics has also increased thanks to the modularity of the weapon: now, right on the go from the gun, you can twist the sight, muffler or change the types of cartridges – there are enough options, and each is useful in a particular situation. For example, if you still prefer a secretive version of the passage, the player is available to emi-patrons that can turn off the electrical devices. They work perfectly against tracking cameras that fail for a few seconds.
The “vertical gameplay” who had already packed himself found a place here: the shown reservation in Prague can boast of several floors, between which you can freely jump. To do this, they even developed an additional technique – a break -out forward, allowing you to fly a few meters over the abyss. It works approximately like a teleport in Dishonored.
For the sake of convenience, you can now hack devices from afar. Stretch your hand and immediately pull some crane to you, sitting under the ceiling, is very convenient. The hacker mini-games, by the way, have been finalized and complicated: new objects and conditions appeared in them, although the essence remained the same.
In other words, Mankind Divined It looks equally organic both in battle and in stealth. The authors emphasize that all mistakes of the original are taken into account: “bosses” can be defeated without even being discovered, and the whole game will allow you to go without a single murder. For this, however, you will have to talk a lot – but the possibilities will again appear.
The only nuance that should be noted is that a person is unlikely to distinguish Mankind Divined from Human Revolution. Not technical, of course: Glacier 2 engine from Hitman: Absolution gives a completely amazing picture. Shown in the demo Prague station boils with life and constant movement. Gloomy areas ghetto shine with black metal sheets. Detailing is beyond praise. But stylistically, gameplay, this is a meaningful game. That is probably even good.
Eidos leads an absolutely correct policy, and Mankind Divined it turns out exactly the game that everyone needs. Made according to the same principles, developing all the ideas of the original and telling a completely new part of history. It can be seen that the authors are firmly sure that they create a “creative statement”, and this is a clear sign: they do, as they say, with the soul.
